"And do not be fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2
Hi ladies, after a long battle I just like to say we are back. I Am Her! I'm excited about this season in the lives of the Daughters of a Promise.
I'm grateful to say that we are blogging again after three years of being gravely ill, but a promise is a promise and God never breaks them.
So it's fall and I know that our fashion changes for every season. This week's blog is about fashion and style in a spiritual aspect. But briefly in the natural scope of things we would like to feature a great new business that launched on Friday, September 25, 2015 "Nissi Banner of Style". We are excited to announce this excellent level of styling to our readers. Denise Taylor is the owner and CEO of this wonderful online shopping experience. She is also the Youth Pastor of Kingdom Life Christian Center. Her great sense of style is unique, daring but also dainty. Visit her at www.nissibannerofstyles.com great staff and great service.
What is your banner of style? Many women have lost their ensign (standard) when it comes to fashion. Style is a manner of doing something, a distinctive appearance, typically determined by the principles according to which something is designed.
Whenever new fashion comes out many conform to the fads of the ever evolving culture. We are constantly changing looks putting on and putting off trendy styles. Spiritually, just because it's trending does not mean we conform. Our fashion outwardly should reflect who we are inwardly.
How stylish are you? Do you have a banner (standard) or do you fashion yourself according to this world? Your appearance should be distinctive and not seductive, according to the principles of which you have been designed. The way you fashion (behave) should always be in agreement with who you are in Christ.
Ladies we sell out many times. Our emotions cause us to transform our outward appearance to make us feel better for the moment but if there is no transformation that occurs in the mind, going from long hair to short then from short too long proves how confused we really are and how deeply we need to take heed to the principles given to us through the Word of God.
Our style should be sensible but sensational. As Daughters of the King, when we step into a room everyone should pause and say where is she from? Your style outwardly should reveal that inwardly you have made a decisive decision for the world to see you are unique. Embrace the power to be different you should never look like (conform to) the world. Don't sabotage yourself with trying to please anyone but Jehovah Nissi, He is the Standard in which we fashion ourselves according to His design for our lives.
Thank you for letting me share with you, most of all my prayer is that you "Seek First The Kingdom Of God and His Righteousness." Matthew 6:33 Pursue a personal relationship with God. "Jesus came that you may have life and have it in all it's fullness." John 10:10b
